I qualified as an ADI in december 2002 having trained with BSM. Miniscule was started in January 2003 with an aim of giving enjoyable driving lessons individually tailored to each pupils needs, thus ensuring that every pupil covers the driving syllabus at their own pace, hopefully meaning that every pupil has had the safe driving for life firmly instilled in them.

I really enjoy teaching people to drive and get immense satisfaction watching a learner moving the car away from the side of the road for the first time and then seeing the smile on their face when they pass their test. One of the best things is no two lessons are the same; all pupils are taught as individuals and progress at their own pace. Whilst I feel I have the patience to teach even the most nervous pupil I also like teaching the confident learner as it can be fun harnessing the confidence and watching them progress in their driving skills. The mini is a lovely car to drive so makes it a pleasure to teach in, it suits all learning styles, and has good all round visibility for manoeuvres as well as built in safety.

I also find it very rewarding that we get so many recommendations from former pupils, I think my record in one family is three sisters and one step brother. It is very flattering when you get phone calls from friends of ex or current pupils asking you to teach them as their friend has enjoyed the lessons so much.

I love teaching people to drive, from the 17 year old having their very first lesson to the older pupil who put off learning to drive for a variety of reasons, my job satisfaction is in getting them through their test, hopefully first time. We have an excellent first time pass rate of around. Nervous pupils are especially welcome.  We also offer trailer training for those that need to tow a trailer, if you've passed your test after January 1997 this entitlement isn't on your licence and depending what you want to tow you will need to take a further test.

I am married with 2 grown up children, both girls, one of whom I taught to drive, and that's the most nerve racking test I've accompanied a learner on, but seeing the smile on her face when she passed first time was worth it! I have a high first time pass rate, but try not to put to much pressure on a pupil by expecting them to pass first time. Instead working on coping techniques meaning that nerves dont get the better of them on test day.

In my personal time I enjoy a wide range of hobbies including horse riding, skiing and taking photographs, oh and I class driving as a hobby too!
